Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited App ID: 932747118 US price: $2.99, one-time purchase For iPhone and iPad

Shadowrocket is a paid client for Apple platforms. It’s available exclusively on the App Store as a one-time purchase. First check your store account region and verify the developer, official icon, and app ID before buying. Prices, device compatibility, and system requirements are as shown on the App Store product page.

Storefront and Account Region

Open the App Store product page from this page. First confirm that it’s the Shadowrocket listing, then check the purchase button. The app isn’t available on the mainland China storefront. If search returns no results or the product page says it’s unavailable in your country or region, check the Apple Account used for Media & Purchases instead of repeatedly changing your search terms. Your Apple Account’s country or region determines which storefront you see; your device’s interface language doesn’t change that setting.

Follow this path: Settings → Apple Account → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. Tap your name at the top of Settings to open your Apple Account, then select Media & Purchases. If prompted, verify your identity as directed. Check the country or region shown here and confirm that this is the account used for the original purchase. Some menu labels may vary with system settings; follow what appears on your device.

To change your region, use the official option on the Country/Region page and follow the instructions there. Your balance, active subscriptions, payment method, family settings, and other factors may affect whether you can proceed. Check Apple’s current requirements before deciding whether to make a change. This guide can’t guarantee that a region change will succeed, and changing regions isn’t necessarily required before purchase.

The product link on this page uses the US storefront URL. The us in the address identifies the storefront only; it doesn’t change your account region or mean your account meets that storefront’s purchase requirements. Once you reach a page where the app is available to buy, check the currency and price shown for your account. If you’ve already purchased the app, check Purchased and confirm the original purchase record first.

Verify the listing before paying

How to verify the official app: check three details

In search results, the name or a similar-looking icon is only a first clue—not proof. Open the product page and check the developer, official icon, and app ID together. Don’t rely only on whether the name includes Shadowrocket, especially when opening a listing from search. If any of the three details don’t match, stop and don’t buy the app.

  1. Developer: Check the developer information on the App Store product page. It should say Shadow Launch Technology Limited. If the name is truncated, expand it or view the full details—don’t verify it by matching only the first few letters.
  2. Official icon: Compare it with the icon above: a rocket outlined in blue and purple on a white background. A similar icon alone doesn’t confirm the app’s identity; cross-check the developer name and product URL as well.
  3. App ID: The product URL linked on this page ends with id932747118. This is the product identifier, not an app version number. When checking the address in a browser, verify these digits instead of relying only on the name in the URL.

The two screenshots below are official English interface screenshots uploaded by the developer to the App Store. Home shows the connection status, Global Routing, and SERVER group; Add Server shows where to enter server details. They illustrate where to find controls after installation but don’t replace checking the App Store listing. The interface may vary with current settings or later changes, so don’t identify the app solely by a button’s position.

The first time you open the app

Install on iPhone and approve the VPN configuration

Open the App Store link on this page on your iPhone. After verifying the listing, use the store button to confirm the purchase. The App Store handles payment and identity verification. Wait for installation to finish and for the button to change to Open, then launch Shadowrocket. Check the App Store product page for system requirements. If the store says your device isn’t compatible, read the full compatibility details rather than relying on the device model or screenshots.

The first time you open Home, Not Connected means no connection has been established yet—it doesn’t mean installation failed. Import your existing subscription or enter your own server details in Add Server, then select the item you want to use. If you haven’t imported any information, repeatedly toggling the connection switch won’t help. Your purchase gives you the right to use the client; you need to provide the server details required to connect.

The first time you connect, iOS may ask whether to allow adding a VPN configuration. This system permission lets the app establish the relevant network connection; it isn’t a request to purchase again. Confirm that the request comes from Shadowrocket, follow the system prompt, and authenticate on your device. You can review the configuration under Settings → General → VPN & Device Management → VPN. The exact menu path may vary by device.

If you previously denied permission, try connecting again in the app and follow the system prompt when it reappears. Seeing a VPN configuration added doesn’t prove that a server is available. Return to Home to check the selected item and connection status, then verify with Connectivity Test and an actual request. For importing, choosing Global Routing, and diagnosing connection failures, see the first connection guide.

One purchase record, two primary devices

Install on iPad and check compatibility with other devices

Shadowrocket is available for both iPhone and iPad. After purchasing with an Apple Account on iPhone, sign in to the App Store on iPad with the same purchase account. Find Shadowrocket under Purchased to download it again. Check the account used for Media & Purchases, not just the account name at the top of the device. If the devices use different purchase accounts, don’t assume the original purchase will appear on both.

The wider iPad screen may arrange lists and content differently from iPhone, but the interface labels remain Home, Config, Data, and Settings. Find the server list and connection status on Home, then import your own details. A larger display doesn’t change what the fields mean; match Type, Host, Port, and other entries against your source information.

The app purchase record and your configuration are separate. Installing Shadowrocket on iPad from Purchased doesn’t mean your iPhone subscriptions, servers, or rules have been transferred. Check the list after opening the app and reimport anything that’s missing. If the list already contains items, check their source and last updated time so you don’t mistake an old configuration for the one currently in use. Check the App Store product page for system requirements.

Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision

The compatibility section of the same App Store product page also lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. To use Shadowrocket on one of these devices, open the same product page on that device and review its compatibility and purchase details. System requirements, device compatibility, and whether the purchase is universal are as shown on the App Store page. The App Store remains the place to get the app. The steps here focus on iPhone and iPad; don’t assume the interface is laid out the same way on other devices.

Find your purchase record before restoring your setup

Switch devices or reinstall

If you switch iPhone or iPad, or delete the app and need to reinstall it, open App Store → Account → Purchased and find Shadowrocket using the Apple Account used for the original purchase. Some system versions may label this section “Apps” or “My Apps”; open your purchase list. When you find the listing and see the redownload option, follow the prompts. You won’t be charged again for the original purchase.

If the product page still shows a price, pause before paying. Check that you’re using the right store account and that the purchase record and app ID match. The purchase may be under another account or the app may be hidden from your Purchased list. Find the record before troubleshooting the price display. Having installed the app on this device before doesn’t necessarily mean the current account owns it. If the transaction status is unclear, check the result in your App Store purchase history.

Reinstalling restores the app itself, but may not restore all data inside it. Before switching devices, save any configuration you want to keep using the methods available in the app, and make sure you can still access your existing subscription or server details. Backups may contain connection credentials. Keep them somewhere you control, and don’t publicly share screenshots that reveal a complete subscription URL, password, or personal information.

After installing on a new device, check Home and Config for the right content. If needed, import your own subscription or server details, verify the active configuration, and then approve the first connection. Check Global Routing and the selected server to confirm requests are handled as expected. To see whether Family Sharing applies to your purchase, check the App Store product page and the current Family settings; don’t assume it’s available for every account.

Keep app and service costs separate

Price and one-time purchase

Shadowrocket is a closed-source commercial app sold as a one-time purchase, with no recurring monthly app fee. The US reference price is $2.99 as a one-time purchase. Other storefronts display local currencies; the price shown on the App Store page before payment is the actual price. The US price here illustrates the purchase model—it doesn’t determine the price in your account’s storefront or a fixed conversion into another currency.

Get existing subscription details from your service provider. Availability, expiration, and configuration are determined by that service. A successful app purchase and a failed server connection can happen at the same time; check the app installation, VPN configuration permission, subscription import, and server details separately. Buying the app again isn’t a standard fix for connection issues, and an app purchase record doesn’t prove that a service is still active.

Manage app updates through the App Store. Check the Updates section of your App Store account, or use automatic updates if enabled in your system settings. Check the store for currently available updates rather than relying on screenshots or text on this page. Save important configurations before updating. After an update, start by checking the current server, configuration, and system permissions.

Before confirming the price, distinguish between a first purchase, restoring a purchase under the original account, and a device compatibility warning. A first purchase requires App Store payment confirmation. To restore an existing purchase, find its record first. If the device doesn’t meet the requirements, read the compatibility details. Handling these cases separately helps avoid mistaking an account or device issue for a need to pay again. This is the official Shadowrocket guide; App Store purchase and payment records are authoritative.

Shadowrocket download and purchase FAQs

Can’t find Shadowrocket on the App Store? Check these settings first.

This app isn’t available on the mainland China storefront. First check your store account region under “Settings → Apple Account → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region,” then open the product page linked here. The us in the link doesn’t change your account region. Changing regions is subject to the conditions Apple currently displays.

The product page opens, but the download won’t complete. What should I do?

Start with the specific message shown by the App Store. Then check your store account sign-in, purchase confirmation, device compatibility, available storage, and network connection. Check the App Store product page for system requirements. If the transaction status is unclear, review your purchase history before proceeding to avoid confirming payment again.

Do I have to pay again when switching devices or reinstalling?

Sign in with the Apple Account used for the original purchase. Find Shadowrocket under “App Store → Account → Purchased” and download it again—there’s no need to buy it again. If a price appears, check the store account and purchase history first. After restoring the app, you’ll still need to import your own subscription or server details.

I bought it on iPhone. Can I install it on iPad?

Shadowrocket is available for both iPhone and iPad. On iPad, sign in with the same Apple Account used for the purchase and download it again from the App Store’s Purchased section. Check the App Store product page for system requirements. A purchase record doesn’t mean your configuration is synced between devices.

Can I install Shadowrocket on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section of the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the product page on the device you plan to use; compatibility, system requirements, and whether the purchase is universal are as shown on the App Store page. The App Store remains the place to get the app.

How do I follow the guide if the app is in English?

This official guide uses the original English interface labels. Check the connection status on Home, enter your existing server details in Add Server, and review your configuration in Config. Under Global Routing, Config, Proxy, and Direct refer to the routing modes. Follow the tutorial steps in order for your first setup.
